How to scan and read a SitterPass QR code

Guide for pet sitters to read routines and emergency numbers on any browser.

Note: This direct import works entirely offline and utilizes local encrypted payload parsing with zero external network overhead.

Steps to follow:

  1. The pet sitter opens the OmniaVet app on their iPhone.
  2. In the Sitter tab, they open the scanner and align the lens with the SitterPass QR code on your device screen.
  3. The app processes the QR code locally using Apple's AVFoundation and imports the profile data directly into the sitter's SwiftData store.
  4. The sitter can now browse the complete care routine and emergency contacts offline on their own device.
Tip: The app saves the imported pet profile locally on the sitter's device for immediate lookups during walks.
