Learn how to build a profile card, specify birth dates, breed specifications, and health characteristics in OmniaVet.
Note: To edit a profile later, navigate to the pet's view, tap settings, make your edits page by page, and confirm.
Steps to follow:
- From the main dashboard, tap the Add Pet or New Companion button.
- Step 2 (Identity): Tap the profile camera placeholder to upload a picture via the iOS system photo picker (PhotosUI). Enter the Usage name, optional Full name, and choose gender via the segmented control.
- Step 3 (Category & Breed): Select the species (dog, cat, rabbit, etc.), tap the Breed field to select a breed, set the birth date via the native date picker, and adjust initial weight using the double wheel pickers.
- Step 4 (Details): Write allergies and intolerances, toggle administrative settings (Chipped with ID number, Tattooed, or LOF-registered), then tap Finish on the recap screen.
Tip: The built-in crop utility (ImageCropper) launches automatically after photo selection to help you center your pet's face.
