Note: Calculations follow standard clinical formulas defined by veterinary nutrition boards (NRC/FEDIAF).

Steps to follow:

  1. Open the **Tools** tab and tap **DER Calculator**.
  2. Pick the pet you want to calculate for. The app pulls their latest logged weight.
  3. Specify their physiological status (Intact, Neutered, Puppy, Active Working Dog, etc.) and daily activity level.
  4. The engine outputs the recommended daily kilocalories (kcal) and provides approximate feed weight translations.
Tip: For mixed feeding plans (dry kibble + wet cans), divide the kcal outputs according to your preferred ratio.

Note: All conversion operations run locally on your device and collect no telemetry.
