Learn how to start a GPS walk, analyze statistics like distance and speed, see your route, and configure walk alerts.

Note: If GPS signal is lost, the app estimates walking distance using the built-in iOS step counter.

Steps to follow:

  1. Navigate to the Track tab in the app.
  2. Select the pet or pets joining you by checking their profile circles.
  3. Tap the green Start Walk button. The map will load showing your current location.
  4. During the walk, elapsed time, distance, and route path are updated. Tap Finish and Save to write the event.
Tip: For seamless routing, verify that Location Access is set to 'Always Allow' in your iOS system settings.

Note: Haptic notifications require that your device or Apple Watch is not in 'Do Not Disturb' mode.

Steps to follow:

  1. Go to the Home tab and open Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Walks section.
  3. Toggle the Haptic Walk Alerts switch on.
  4. Select the preferred notification interval (every 500m, 1km, or 2km).
Tip: This feature is perfect for monitoring your distance goals without checking your phone screen.

Note: Completed walks are synced to iCloud and can be reviewed on your iPad or other synced iOS devices.

Steps to follow:

  1. Open the Track tab.
  2. Tap the Walk History button in the top right corner.
  3. A timeline list is shown. Tap any past walk to load the specific path map.
  4. Inspect details: average pace, total distance, and step count statistics.
Tip: You can filter your history by pet to track and balance physical activity for each animal.

Add dog parks, drinking water points, or veterinary clinics on the map to enhance your walk route.

Note: These points of interest remain strictly confidential and local to your pet profile.

Steps to follow:

  1. Open the Walks tool and start an activity or view the interactive map.
  2. Long-press any location on the map or tap Add Location (POI).
  3. Choose a point of interest category (Park, Clinic, Water Fountain, Temporary Danger).
  4. Name the point of interest, add explanatory notes, and tap Save to display the pin on the map using Apple's MapKit API.
Tip: You can enable proximity alerts to be notified when you approach a point of interest or danger zone.
