Troubleshoot iOS Home Screen widgets

What to do if your home widgets or water tracking widgets fail to update.

Note: Interactive widgets features require iOS 17 or higher to operate click events.

Steps to follow:

  1. Long-press the unresponsive widget on your iOS Home Screen.
  2. Tap **Edit Widget** and verify that the correct pet profile has been selected.
  3. If the widget displays empty values, launch OmniaVet to reload SwiftData contexts.
  4. If issues persist, delete the widget and add it again from the iOS widget gallery.
Tip: iOS limits daily widget updates to save battery. Launching the main app forces a widget refresh.
