Open the Pet Pantry (Garde-Manger) from the Home screen.
Tap the Scan Barcode button.
Align the food barcode inside the camera frame.
The app queries the public collaborative Open Pet Food Facts API (with an offline fallback) using Apple's AVFoundation camera framework to retrieve the product name, weight, and calories. Confirm or edit details manually if needed.

Tip: Once the item is logged, you can assign it as your pet's default food selection.
